Mondays, am I right?

Blue Monday is fast approaching and what better way to put a smile on your face on the most depressing day of the year than with some animal-related news from 2022!

Dudley Zoo welcomed two critically endangered Bornean orangutan boys – Jim and Joe - and a baby binturong.  Two red-tailed green rat snakes hatched, with keepers naming the pair, Noodle and Ramen.

A pair of cygnets, born around Easter are the first black swan babies the zoo has had on-site for more than 30 years.

The Zoo also welcomed five naked mole rat pups and three reindeer; Genie, Winnie and Gus!

Over in Bewdley, West Midlands Safari Park welcomed a number of new arrivals too including two endangered baby giraffes called Kris and Kingsley and three meerkat pups – the first since 2013!

And, of course, we had a number of new babies join us here at the Orchard too - our favourite part of the job is watching your furbabies grow up!
