The Cat’s Whiskers sits within the beautiful parkland of Harborne Golf Course – a tranquil country-like retreat just a stone's throw from Birmingham city centre. Our cattery is surrounded by greenery and open space that keeps noise and disturbance to an absolute minimum, meaning your cat can settle in quickly.

The building itself is a modern, architect-designed facility built specifically for the comfort and security of its guests. Every detail has been considered by our veterinary team, from the air conditioning that maintains the perfect temperature year-round, to the feel-good feline pheromones that help anxious cats relax from the moment they arrive.

Comfortable, individual accommodation for every cat

Every cat has their own private chalet with separate sleeping and exercise areas. Chalets are fitted with shelves for cats who like to be up high, and lower resting spots for older or less mobile guests who need a little more help getting comfortable. Sneeze barriers between units keep all residents safe and healthy throughout their stay.

Travelling with two cats who are the best of friends? Double homes are available for bonded pairs. For larger families, we can accommodate up to eight cats together. All litter trays, dishes, toys and bedding are provided - but you're more than welcome to bring your cat's own bed, scratching post, or favourite toy to make the space feel familiar.

We can cater to most diets and, with our extensive range of foods, we can even please the fussiest of eaters.

Vet-run cat boarding with free health cover included

One of the things that sets The Cat's Whiskers apart is our proximity to Orchard Veterinary Centre. With a veterinary practice on site, if your cat ever needs attention during their stay, whether that's a routine concern or something more urgent, expert veterinary care is immediately available.

Every cat who stays with us receives free veterinary health cover for the duration of their visit, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away. It's the kind of reassurance that's hard to put a price on.
