The 2026 International Women's Day theme is "Give to Gain" – a powerful reminder that when we invest in women's empowerment and support one another, we all benefit. In veterinary medicine, this couldn't be more true. The profession has long been predominantly female, with women making up 58% of vets and an impressive 97% of veterinary nurses.
